Help City University Cleaners Get Justice

Night cleaners at City University are being victimised after they raised a collective grievance over issues at work with the university’s cleaning subcontractor.
Workers are calling for your support in standing up to this injustice!
One cleaner has been sacked, another disciplined and a third physically assaulted after 21 cleaners raised complaints about mistreatment and favouritism by a manager and dangerous levels of overwork. City University’s subcontractor Julius Rutherfoord failed to deal properly with their grievance and has subsequently taken disciplinary action targeting the leaders. The contractor has also turned a blind eye to threats and physical attacks on cleaners by family members of the manager the complaint was against. This is totally unacceptable.
DISCIPLINED: Maria. For helping Bianca speak out about her husband.
SACKED: Bianca. For speaking out about the dangerous levels of overwork her diabetic husband has been subjected to.
ATTACKED: Ana Maria. After multiple threats, Ana Maria was attacked outside her workplace by the son of the manager the grievance was made against.
Workers have been intimidated and harassed. But they are resolute about fighting back!
Join us in calling on City University to:
- REINSTATE BIANCA
- DROP THE DISCIPLINARIES
- END THE VIOLENCE & VICTIMISATION
- END DANGEROUS LEVELS OF OVERWORK
- TERMINATE JULIUS RUTHERFOORD’S CONTRACT & BRING THE WORKERS IN-HOUSE!
