Help Support HB 225, the Phase out of Subminimum Wage for Ohioans with Disabilities!
Hello, advocates;
Join us over the next two weeks in asking Ohio to pass a bill phasing out subminimum wage for workers with disabilities by the end of this legislative session. In our first week, we will be sending letters to our legislators regarding the bill. In the second, we ask you to call the Chair and Co-Chair of the House Commerce and Labor Committee asking them to hear the bill. Take action below by following the link below!
The Ohio 14C Taskforce is working to make sure HB 225, to Phase Out Subminimum Wage for Individuals with Disabilities, passes into law in 2026. This bill would end the outdated practice of paying certain people less for their work, and would increase hourly pay to, at least, meet the minimum wage. Our group is spending the next two weeks taking action to have HB 225 passed into law, and we need your help.
HB255 is still in front of the House Commerce and Labor Committee. Help us by following the link in this email to send a letter to the Ohio General Assembly asking them to pass HB 225 into law!
