Help us keep AI out of Abortion Access!

The National Abortion Federation’s management has refused to commit to not replacing our vital hotline staff with artificial intelligence throughout the bargaining of our union contract.

We staunchly believe that abortion seekers deserve the highest level of information security and trauma-informed human interaction, not AI chatbots. We insist that abortion seekers reaching out to the National Abortion Hotline can always depend on our dedicated staff to answer their call.

As part of the country's largest abortion fund, NAH staff provide exceptional care in moments of crisis and vulnerability, using our extensive knowledge and experience to guide callers as they navigate legal and logistical barriers. For many of our callers, we are the sole beacon of compassion in an otherwise invalidating environment.

With the violences of this federal administration, including the overturning of the protections of Roe v. Wade, accessing abortion has become progressively more burdensome particularly for the economically marginalized and those living in rural areas of the country that our hotline serves.

A call to our hotline should connect to a supportive voice offering confident accompaniment, it should not be another burden or barrier.

We need your support to ensure that our callers will never have to face a chatbot while navigating an already intimidating landscape. We ask you to stand in solidarity with our mission of ensuring there are #NoBotsInAbortionCare by sending the following letter to NAF Management.
