Help us Pass the Illinois Human Rights Advocacy Protection Act Today!

The State of Illinois is actively suppressing human rights advocacy and shielding Israel from accountability by retaliating against companies that use economic means to put pressure on Israel. We cannot let this continue.

We need your help putting Illinois on the right side of history by repealing our state's unjust anti-boycott law that was signed by former Governor Bruce Rauner in 2015.

As Israel continues to relentlessly batter Gaza, killing an average of 100 people per day in June, 2025, and as Israeli settlers, with the support of their government, continue their campaigns of terror against Palestinian villages throughout the West Bank, the Trump administration has doubled down on its support of the wholesale violations of human rights and dignity.

From calling for ethnic cleansing in Gaza to the targeted deportation of visa holding immigrants who participated in peaceful advocacy, and the indiscriminate deportation that's fracturing immigrant communities, the Trump Administration's actions undermine core American values and democratic traditions.

Speak up today to demand that Illinois unshackle itself from the dangerous foreign policy vision of Donald Trump.

The Illinois Human Rights Advocacy Protection Act, introduced by Rep. Rashid and Sen. Porfirio, would restore protections for peaceful advocacy by repealing the state's 2015 anti-boycott law targeting advocates for Palestinian rights.

HB 2723 / SB 2462 are gaining momentum with more legislators committing to stand publicly on this issue than ever before with 37 legislators already publicly signing on to the bills as co-sponsors.

When passed, the Illinois Human Rights Advocacy Protection Act will:

● Unshackle Illinois law from Donald Trump's dangerous foreign policy agenda
● Restore protections for peaceful advocacy
● Remove legal uncertainty for Illinois organizations
● Realign state law with fundamental democratic principles
● Protect civil society's ability to engage on humanitarian issues
