Help Us Save Our Post Office

Save the post office and save our democracy.

On Saturday, August 22nd the House of Representatives voted to approve legislation to provide $25 billion in emergency funds to the Postal Service and requires that agency provide service at the same level it did at the beginning of the year. Now this legislation goes to the Senate.

In Santa Clarita, eight mail sorting machines have been dismantled (KHTS) and mail has been backing up all over Southern California.

And there is no intention from the Postmaster General to restore what has been dismantled or removed.

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) said Wednesday that DeJoy informed her he did not intend to restore the sorting machines or blue mailboxes that have been removed in several cities, nor did he have plans to allow for adequate overtime for workers." (LA Times)

We need to stop this unprecedented attack on one of our most vital institutions right before a major election where every voter in California will receive a mail-in ballot.

Please fill out the form to the right to write your senators and ask that they support the Delivering for America Act.

Q: My senators are Democrats, what good will this do?

A: Our senators in California will most likely vote for this legislation. Our letters go into a database of support that they consider before voting. When we write them we're telling them that we have their back as they go take this vote.
