Hold Dexcom Accountable for Failed Adhesive

I am writing to ask for your help with a policy change Dexcom has implemented for their continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system that will directly impact my own health and that of people with diabetes whom you represent. Currently, Dexcom is exploiting a loophole in FDA regulations and has created a policy that separates mechanical failures from medical adhesive failures. The latter, Dexcom claims, are the fault of diabetics who use these devices every day to stay alive. Please help millions of Americans stay healthy and hold medical device companies accountable by supporting better FDA regulation for medical adhesive failures.
Imagine having to choose between risking dangerously high or low blood sugars or paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket just to replace a sensor that fell off early. This is the reality Dexcom’s new policy forces upon us, despite the company’s enormous profits. This policy puts our health, safety, and financial stability on the line.
We believe that if a medical device fails, the company should be responsible for replacing it—without limits. That’s why we’re asking for your support in demanding that the FDA establish guidelines to ensure fair access to these lifesaving devices.
Take action now by filling out the form to email your representatives and let them know that Dexcom’s policy must change. Your voice can make a difference.
