Piscataway Township is considering a hotel/motel ordinance that would displace residents, undermine public safety, and waste taxpayer dollars, without addressing the root causes of homelessness. This proposal, which experts warn violates people’s rights under the Constitutions of the United States and of New Jersey, is not evidence-based and risks harming some of our most vulnerable neighbors.
