H.R. 1949 passed the House 217-188 and is now on the Senate calendar awaiting action. European dependence on Russian gas has been one of Moscow's most powerful coercion tools for decades. This bill expands American LNG export capacity to provide our European allies with a democratic energy alternative, directly undermining Russia's ability to weaponize energy. It creates American jobs, strengthens NATO allies, and cuts off revenue that funds Russia's war machine, all at once. The House has acted. The Senate must follow. Every month of delay is another month Russia profits from Europe's energy vulnerability.
