Hudson City Council: NO More ICE Facilities in our State

In 2025, there were at least 35 deaths at the hands of immigration enforcement officials. As of July 7th, 2025, there were 57,861 recorded detentions in immigration facilities. 91% of people in detention are held in privately owned facilities (Source: Detention Watch Network).

The history of numerous experiences of abuse and negligence at the hands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and in detention centers is extensive and well-documented. Help send a message to the elected leaders of Hudson and let them know that:
  • We say NO to more abuse at the hands of immigration agents.
  • We say NO to a new center that places money in the pockets of multimillion dollar corporations.
  • We say NO to human rights violations in our state

Detention centers are cruel, unjust, and harmful for communities. ICE facilities divert money from actual infrastructural needs and from the residents that need it most.
