I support the Union Bay Nature Trail
The Union Bay Natural Area (UBNA) is a 74-acre wetland owned by the State of Washington and managed by the University of Washington. This remarkable space includes miles of shoreline, walking trails, bridges, and gardens. It’s a rare example of natural beauty embedded within an urban environment. It also sits between U-Village and the UW light rail station.
This natural area is immediately-adjacent to the densest neighborhood in Seattle with a 5-acre deficit of open space and can provide badly-needed respite to urban dwellers if only access were improved and encouraged. This project endeavors to achieve this for all.
