Increase COVID-19 testing access in MoCo communities of color

In the month of June, 74% of Montgomery County residents who tested positive for COVID-19 were Latinx. Only TWO testing sites exist in the four zip codes in MoCo with the highest concentrations of COVID-19 cases. These four zip codes are in the top quartile for percentage of residents who are Black and Latino, and in the lowest quartile for household median income in the county.

Montgomery County officials MUST close this inexcusable gap of testing access for our most vulnerable neighbors.

On July 21 at 1:30pm, Montgomery County Council, led by Councilmembers Nancy Navarro and Gabe Albornoz, will be introducing a resolution to increase access to COVID testing in communities of color.

Send a letter today to help us urge county officials to close this glaring and dangerous disparity by passing this resolution.
