It has been estimated that 3/4 of the U.S. population has had a COVID-19 infection, and with 1 in 5 (20%) developing Long COVID, that indicates ~50 million people in the U.S. have Long COVIDD. Recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statists shows that 4 million people in the U.S. are out of work due to Long COVID. The lack of access to multidisciplinary clinics, treatments and providers knowledgeable about and treating complex chronic illnesses, has left these patients and their families without help, further highlighted in the recent data released showing U.S. disability rates have hit 34 million, an all-time high, largely a result of the pandemic, and Long COVID. We need your support to get the Treat Long COVID Act supported, in a bi-partisan fashion, across the nation. Millions need care, and assistance, which largely depends on medical documentation. The Treat Long COVID Act will help provide the framework we need to start moving forward with assistance and solutions for the Long COVID community, and beyond, improving patient outcomes.
