Just Say NO to QR Codes at Alamo Drafthouse

The dining and entertainment experience at the Alamo Drafthouse is unique and why customers keep returning. Maintaining that experience is important to our Union, The Alamo Collective.

However, Alamo Drafthouse management recently installed QR Codes for customers to order food and drink through their phones rather than through one of our exceptional servers.

The workers at Alamo Drafthouse have tried negotiating with the company over this issue to deaf ears. Customers come here for a personal experience, not to order for themselves to a faceless sticker, that is not what the Alamo experience is about.

According to Alamo Drafthouse management, our average tips are 17%. They say tips will go up with the QR Codes, how can they be so sure? Why wont they cover the difference if they're wrong? We made them the money to invest in this system

Alamo Drafthouse management wants to gamble with our wages and make the customers pay the price.

Management wants to gamble with our livelihoods and automate your experience, while still increasing prices for you. Please send an email to management to remind them that it’s the workers & customers that make Alamo Drafthouse special, not a QR code.
