On August 29th, 2020 officer Kerzaya responded to a call from the General Manager at a hotel in Tempe, Arizona. The General Manager called because a white male was waving a firearm at residents of the hotel. Instead of focusing on finding the person described in the call, Kerzaya held Mr.Cumpian at gunpoint. Mr. Cumpian repeatedly told Kerzaya that he was an employee of the hotel and was wearing his employee uniform at the time, yet Kerzaya continued to hold him at gunpoint. This is not the first time Kerzaya has used violence against a black man in the last year.

We are emailing Mayor, City Manager, Chief of Police and Council members to ask them to hold their police officers accountable and terminate Ronald Kerzaya's employment.
