Keep California Rolling: Victory for Our Jobs! Send a Thank You to Sacramento

With the legislation that expands the funding and modernization of California’s Film and Television Jobs Program officially signed into law by Governor Newsom, it is now time to say THANKS to those that championed our fight in Sacramento.

It only takes a minute, but it sends a powerful message: we see their leadership in standing with us, and we’ll continue to show up and speak out when it matters.

This fight wasn’t easy. Lawmakers faced a tough budget year and competing priorities, but they heard our members loud and clear and took action. They recognized the urgency of the moment and the importance of sustaining middle-class union jobs, supporting small businesses, and protecting the union jobs that power this industry in California.

With the passage of AB 1138 and the approval of $750 million in annual funding, both critical pieces of the program will now go into effect together. That means more opportunities, stronger job protections, and a better future for our members across the state.

We’re especially grateful to Governor Gavin Newsom and our state legislature, who made this funding a priority and stood firmly with entertainment workers.

This win belongs to YOU - our members. Write a letter of thanks and let’s keep the momentum going, and together, we’ll Keep California Rolling.
