San Jose Unified School District is proposing school consolidation, closures and restructuring district-wide. Among the considered options, Hammer Montessori School and Ernesto Galarza Elementary Schools are proposed for relocation or closure.

The parents, families and communities of Hammer and Galarza are strongly proposing to keep both schools together at the current Galarza Elementary campus. Both schools under one roof have created a vibrant community - we want to keep it this way for the benefit of all our student population.
