SAVE OUR CHILDREN FROM SUPERVISOR HORVATH

We are deeply worried about the safety of our children who frequently visit parks & go to school in the City of Los Angeles. Supervisor Horvath is pushing to eliminate the City code (LAMC 41.18), which currently prevents homeless individuals from residing within a 500 ft radius around our schools and parks. Supervisor Horvath states LAMC 41.18 is a failed policy. This law has played an essential role in safeguarding our children from exposure to drug use and violence.
There have been numerous instances where children have been assaulted by homeless individuals, further emphasizing the need for this protective measure. The removal of this law would not only endanger our children but also disrupt their safe spaces for learning and play.
Homelessness is an issue that needs to be addressed compassionately; however, putting innocent lives at risk isn't the solution.
We urge all citizens of Los Angeles who care about our future generation's safety to sign this petition. Let's stand together against Supervisor Horvath's efforts and insist on maintaining LAMC 41.18 as it stands - as a shield protecting our young ones from harm associated with homelessness.
