Manufactured housing homeowners are property owners whose equity depends on regulated land tenancy.
Without clear statutory protections, AB 768 risks converting disaster and routine life events — illness, caregiving, recovery, temporary relocation — into mechanisms for large-scale equity loss and destabilization of California’s manufactured housing market.
This bill has passed in the Assembly without a clear understanding of the implications of the bill. We need to STOP the bill in the CA Senate.
