KUSD Administration and School Board - Show the Scale

In order to provide the highest quality of education for our students, KUSD must be able to recruit and retain high quality educators. Finding a solution to recruitment and retention must be a collaborative effort where everyone, especially educators, have an opportunity to have their input considered.

The Kenosha Unified School District formed a Salary Structure and Design Team that was tasked with creating a new salary structure to be implemented in the 2017-18 school year. To date, the only information that has been made public and considered by the School Board, is the committee's goal and philosophical statement of purpose.

Now, KUSD Administration is planning to present the proposed salary structure to the School Board on Wednesday, June 13th. At the meeting, School Board members will discuss the proposal and possibly take action on the new structure.

We believe that educators need the time to review this proposed structure and to give thoughts and input prior to the School Board taking final action. Therefore, we're calling on KUSD Administration and the School Board to do the following:

1. Immediately release the proposed salary structure to the public.

2. Do not take action on the scale until after the June 13th meeting so that educators have time to give their thoughts and input.

Make your voice heard by filling out this form and sending a letter to the School Board calling on them to release the salary structure and give time for input.
