LAST CHANCE - Shut down JP23 and PROTECT Long Beach community!

A predatory nightclub, "JP23", opened almost a year ago in the heart of Downtown Long Beach.

Since the opening of its Fullerton location in 2016, allegedly a number of people have come forward to share that they’ve blacked out after consuming one drink - directly handed to them by the bartenders of JP23, that they’ve been drugged, sexually assaulted, and have woken up in bouncers’ cars with bruises on their body, that they’ve been robbed at gunpoint by the bouncers in the restroom.

Since then, protesters have rallied outside of both the Fullerton and Long Beach locations and were met with violence at the hands of the owner and the bouncers.

This Tuesday, 8/23, the Long Beach City Council agenda includes a recommendation to finally DENY a business license to JP23, effectively shutting their Long Beach location down and protecting our community members from further violence and assault.

It's VITALLY IMPORTANT that the City Council hears from LOTS of people in Long Beach about how much it matters to us that the business license is finally denied, and that this dangerous business is finally banned from our city. Please take 1 minute to send an email to our councilmembers today!
