Ask Your Legislators to Cut Plastic Packaging Waste By 30%!
Help tackle packaging waste, plastic pollution, toxic chemicals, climate change and environmental justice in New York State! The Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act (S1464/A1749) will force producers to cut single-use packaging by 30% over 12 years, make packaging recyclable and/or reusable, ban 17 of the most toxic chemicals and substances from use in packaging, and shift the burden for paying to deal with packaging waste from New York's tax-payers to the companies responsible for creating it in the first place.
Fill out the form to contact your New York State Senator and Assemblymember to ask them to co-sponsor and push for a vote on the popular Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act (PRRIA, for short) introduced by Senator Harckham and Assemblymember Glick ASAP.
