Today RUSD released a letter to parents and guardians about an update to their requirements for volunteering on campus.

Starting on October 25th, “...all volunteers must provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination in order to volunteer on any school campus during school hours or for school related extracurricular activities on a school campus after school where close contact with students may occur.”

We know that there are already anti-vaxxers in the community who are upset by this and are encouraging others to write emails to disparage this decision. We need to make it clear that there is widespread support for this new requirement. RUSD students deserve the safety of knowing the adults in their learning environment are vaccinated.

Please send an email letting the RUSD school board know that you support this decision.
