Support Additional Energy Assistance Funding

As Congress battles over funding the government through the end of the fiscal year, millions of families around the country will be struggling to balance their household budgets as their energy bills rise.

For many struggling families, higher prices can mean being forced to choose between heat, food, or medication. But the funding for the primary program to help pay energy bills - the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), is only enough to serve 1 in 6 eligible households.

The Biden Administration has requested $1.6 billion in supplemental funding for LIHEAP, but current Congressional budget proposals do not include the funds. Let Congress know how important energy assistance is to your family, the households you serve, and your state!
