Join us in urging international shipping giant, Maersk to stop shipping plastic waste from richer countries to less affluent countries. By getting these polluting plastics "out of sight, out of mind" in the countries they're actually sold and discarded in, the practice of dumping waste on other countries enables the plastics industry to continue to pump out increasing amounts of single-use plastics. Meanwhile, these waste exports threaten the environment and health of residents in the importing communities in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, and Mexico where they cause toxic pollution of land, air, and water, and harm human health and livelihoods.

Progress is possible -- the French shipping line CMA CGM Group recently banned all plastic waste exports on board its ships! Now please help us convince Maersk to do the same.
