LD 1383, An Act To Require the State To Divest Itself of Assets Invested in Corporations That Contribute to Genocide and Human Rights Abuses, will prohibit the State of Maine from investing in corporations that profit from human rights abuses, including ICE's mass detention and genocides abroad. Our public funds must not bankroll violence and oppression anywhere in the world, and especially not when that violence is being turned on our own state.
