Billions of our taxpayer dollars are being spent to keep billionaires rich, wage unnecessary wars, and allow ICE to terrorize our neighborhoods. Meanwhile, our public schools are losing teachers, aides, afterschool programs,  libraries, nurses and more. Why should we stand by and watch our kids suffer?

The Trump administration is proposing extremely harmful cuts to public education in the FY2027 budget – including over $7.3 BILLION in cuts to critical programs. If approved by Congress, this could mean massive reductions in summer and afterschool programs, arts and tech classes, teacher recruitment and training, emergency preparedness, mental health services, and more. Rural communities would be hit especially hard.

Furthermore, while proposing billions in cuts to education, this administration is spending $11 billion per week on war in Iran. We are dropping billions of bombs overseas while school facilities in our state decline, classrooms are overcrowded, districts cannot afford trained teachers, and students with disabilities are deprived of necessary services.  

Email your members of Congress to tell them to fully fund public schools by:

• Making billionaires pay their fair share
• Divesting our tax dollars from the Iran war and ICE, and investing in schools
