The City of Minneapolis and Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board are not currently planning to sponsor Independence Day fireworks on July 4, 2023. After the chaos along the riverfront on July 4, 2022, neighbors demand that the City find private sponsorship for public fireworks to bring a positive, family-friendly good time to the Minneapolis riverfront and celebrate our nation's 247th birthday!
