In 2012, ICE opened its first dedicated civil detention facility in Karnes, Texas.

Today there are over 200 ICE Detention facilities. And DHS wants to build more.

We can not continue on this road. The immorality alone is reason enough, not to mention the wasted dollars which should be used to bolster health care and other support services.

ICE is a rogue agency, which has been given 173 billion dollars when the OBBBA - One Big Beautiful Bill Act passed while over a trillion dollars was cut to Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP and other services. The priorities of the federal government are unaligned with the working families of this nation. They have money for ICE terror camps and public executions but not for food and medical care! We can not be more off track from the very values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness

Our tax dollars should go toward healthcare, feeding the hungry, housing, and schools; not funding detention centers and ICE thugs who are killing our friends and neighbors. And no more handouts and lucrative contracts to corporations that profiteer off of human misery through the Detention Industrial Complex.
