Support 755 homes in Moorpark!
This coming Wednesday, June 15, the Moorpark City Council will decide whether to approve Hitch Ranch, a development with 755 homes--nearly half of which would be multifamily near transit.
The project includes:
- 427 Single-family homes
- 193 Multi-family homes
- 135 below-market-rate apartments (low- and very low-income residents)
- 23 acres for the city to develop additional subsidized apartments (plausibly 200 or more)
As one of Ventura County's least dense communities, this project would improve Moorpark's sustainability and affordability while allowing more people to live near its Metrolink station.
Here's how you can support it:
- Sign this letter by 4PM June 15, which will email Moorpark@moorparkca.gov
- Email Moorpark@moorparkca.gov by 4PM June 15, mentioning item 8A
- Register to give public comment by Zoom, and give comment at the Wednesday meeting, which starts at 6:30PM
- Give public comment in person at 799 Moorpark Avenue
You can read more about the project in the City Council agenda.
On behalf of the 755 families who want to live in Moorpark, thanks for your housing advocacy.
