Nashville Needs a Strong CBA!

Stand Up Nashville's member organizations - including NOAH, The Equity Alliance, SEIU Local 205 and LiUNA Southeast - and residents are in negotiations with CREA, a Texas-based real estate firm, for a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) at the RiverChase Apartments redevelopment site!
This is great news for our city, but the deal is far from done - we must fight to ensure an agreement is made that does the most good for Nashville residents.
That means 200 affordable housing units, $2200 moving stipend and a right to return for current residents, and pathways out of poverty with union construction jobs and apprenticeships.
We aren't just fighting for RiverChase - we want this to be a model that the entire city can follow. A strong CBA at RiverChase can set a precedent for new development and become a powerful tool in the fight against rising inequality.
Join us in sending a letter to the Metro Council and the developer - we want Community Benefits at RiverChase and at future developments across Nashville!
