URGENT 🚨Tell NJ Legislators: Human Drivers, Not Robots

New Jersey legislators are trying to push through legislation that could destroy tens of thousands of rideshare drivers' jobs and use our tax dollars to subsidize the second-largest corporation in the world.

Sen. Zwicker and Asm. Karabinchak have introduced legislation (A3968/S1677) to allow Waymo–the driverless car company owned by Google's parent company– to enter New Jersey and test its unproven, accident-prone driverless cars on our roads.

This legislation threatens catastrophic job losses, billions in lost state revenue, and could mean higher taxes for everyone. Waymo’s expansion could eliminate tens of thousands of New Jersey rideshare, taxi, and delivery jobs and turn our streets into test courses.

We have seen what has happened in other states where Waymos have become tools for chaos: blocking emergency responders, being used as getaway cars for robberies, running through school bus stop signs, and driving blindly into floods and active shootings.

Waymo has a standard playbook it is using in NJ: infiltrate a state, lobby legislators, and fast-track legislation before anyone notices. That’s why New Jersey legislators are in a hurry to move these bills before summer recess.

We refuse to let our elected leaders kill our neighbors' jobs. Tell your legislator to put the brakes on driverless vehicles taking over the Garden State.
