NJ TRANSIT: Better Light Rail for Hudson, Bergen, and Essex Counties!

stranded riders on bergenline avenue station

The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail carries more than 55,000 people per weekday in the most densely populated region of New Jersey. Yet riders can't rely on HBLR showing up when they need it most. It hasn’t been expanded since 2011 and it’s still missing the Bergen in Hudson Bergen Light Rail.

This letter campaign tells your elected officials and New Jersey Transit it’s time to deliver on riders' needs:

  • 10-minute off-peak service (mid-day, nights, and weekends)
  • Western extension to Bayfront/Route 440
  • Northern extension to Bergen County

This investment in HBLR will deliver a number of benefits to our region:

  • Increased mobility & connectivity
  • Increased street safety
  • Reduced traffic & carbon emissions

Tell our elected officials to prioritize funding improvements to the HBLR by sending a letter!
