Tell Governor Hochul and the PSC: Deny Con Ed’s egregious rate hike for fracked gas expansion in Queens

Background: At the same time New Yorkers are already facing outrageously high gas and electric bills, Con Ed has requested to raise bills even more to expand its fracked gas infrastructure in Queens!

What does Con Ed want to raise our monthly bills for?

Con Ed wants to spend $70.4 million to extend the life of its Astoria LNG (liquified fracked gas) facility.

$47.9 million for the Queens Transmission Pipeline expansions .

And another $30 million on its Newtown Creek Gate Station!

We need to tell Governor Hochul and her PSC that we refuse to pay for Con Ed's fracked gas expansion and that the heath and safety of our communities and the climate must come first!
