No DHS Funding Until Stephen Miller Is Removed

Stephen Miller, as White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, directs DHS enforcement operations from the White House without Senate confirmation. A federal employee and AFGE Local 3669 member, Alex Pretti, was killed by Border Patrol agents during immigration raids Miller directed in Minneapolis. AFGE, representing 820,000 federal workers, has demanded his resignation. Miller holds a 17% approval rating — the lowest of any political figure in the country. The Wall Street Journal has warned his strategy is costing the Republican Party elections, including a 14-point loss in a safe Texas seat. Trump told advisers he 'wasn't comfortable with how far Miller has gone,' according to the Wall Street Journal. Congress holds the power of the purse. No DHS funding should be approved while Miller directs enforcement policy.
