UPDATE: CAMPAIGN VICTORY

Thanks to the 4,000+ emails YOU sent, the World Bowls Tour has announced that Israeli player, Shalom Ben Ami, has withdrawn from the competition and that Professional Bowls Association Israel has decided not to replace him!

We call on the World Bowls Tour (WBT) to immediately withdraw its invitation to Israeli player Shalom Ben Ami, set to compete in the Scottish Indoor Bowling International Open on Tuesday 5th November 2024 at West Lothian Indoor Bowling Club, Livingston.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has already found Israel to be an apartheid state, and that international governments and organisations must take steps to end it. As a signatory to the Gleneagles Agreement, Scotland is obligated to ensure that no sporting ties take place with athletes from countries with apartheid sporting policies. If the WBT does not comply with its obligation under the ICJ to rescind its invitation to Shalom Ben Ami, then the Scottish government must intervene!

Please take 10 seconds to send our letter to WBT and the Scottish government to tell them that there can be no sporting stage for apartheid and genocide.
