No Israelis in the World Indoor Bowls Championships 2025

*UPDATE* After initially winning this campaign, the World Bowls Tour have shamefully u-turned on their decision to revoke their invitations to Israeli bowlers due to interference from the Zionist lobby. This is a cowardly move that stains the name of the organisers and the hosts, Potters Resorts with the blood of innocent Palestinians, including the 704 Palestinian athletes murdered by Israel since October 2023.

We must continue to put pressure on them to stop bowling with apartheid Israel now to isolate it internationally.

We call on the World Bowls Tour (WBT) to immediately withdraw its invitation to Israeli players Amnon Amar, Itai Rigbi and Daniel Alonim at the World Indoor Bowls Championships 2025 in Potters Resorts, Hopton-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has already found Israel to be an apartheid state, and that international governments and organisations must take steps to end it. As the UK is a signatory to the Gleneagles Agreement, it is obligated by both the spirit and letter of the Agreement to boycott sporting organisations, teams or competing nationals from any country “where sports are organised by race, colour or ethnic origin." Given the implications about the apartheid nature of the Israeli state issued in the ICJ opinion on 19th July 2024, the UK Government is duty bound to defend the integrity of the Gleneagles Agreement. This duty required from the UK Government supersedes any decision taken by tournament organisers WBT to invite the nationals of the apartheid state.

Please take 10 seconds to send our letter to WBT, Potters Resorts and the UK Government and MP for Great Yarmouth to tell them that there can be no sporting stage for apartheid and genocide.
