The Rose of Australia Hotel in Erskineville has received council approval to increase the size of their poker machine room. Problem gambling is a serious social issue that adversely affects many lives. If anything, the Rose's poker machine numbers and area should be decreased, not increased.

This Development Application, despite receiving 24 submissions from the public, all opposed, was approved 'under delegation' without coming to a vote before our elected councillors.
