Governor McMaster has deployed 200 of our South Carolina National Guardsmen to D.C. against the wishes of the people and the Mayor of D.C. This decision is a misuse of our resources and leaves our state vulnerable in the face of emergencies, natural disasters, and public safety needs here at home. The National Guard exists to protect all people, not to be sent away for political purposes or to stand against citizens.
