No War, No ICE, Free Palestine

Updated April 17, 2026

This May Day, we must turn up the pressure and make it clear that we are done with our taxpayer dollars being used to fund war, state violence, and genocide.

It’s been over a month since the United States and Israel launched a war on Iran, and despite the announcement of a ceasefire, our government continues to use our tax dollars to send weapons to Israel to continue its genocide in Palestine and escalate its attacks on Lebanon. Israel has killed at least 2,000 people in Lebanon since early March, and more than 750 Palestinians in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire in October. We also expect Congress to eventually vote on an $80-100 billion supplemental request from the Trump administration to fund the war on Iran.

At the same time, Congress has allocated tens of billions of taxpayer dollars to fund ICE and CBP detention, with deadly consequences. In 2025, a record 32 deaths were reported under ICE custody, and as of January 20th there have already been 6 deaths in January 2026 alone. On January 7, after more than 2,000 immigration agents were deployed to Minnesota, we witnessed the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good at the hands of a federal ICE agent.

The U.S. war machine is out of control. We must take action to stop it.

We know more funding will only result in more death, violence, and destruction unleashed upon our communities. At a time when our communities are struggling to afford rising grocery and housing prices, Congress must redirect our taxpayer funds away from what causes death, violence, and destruction and instead invest in the community-based resources that truly keep us safe: healthcare, housing, infrastructure, and public education.

Write to your Members of Congress today to demand they:

  • Co-sponsor the Block the Bombs Act to stop weapons to Israel.
  • Co-sponsor the Melt ICE Act to end ICE and CBP detention.
  • Oppose any supplemental funding requested by the Trump administration for the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
