Every year on May 15^th, Palestinians around the world, along with allies, gather on Nakba Day to commemorate families, communities and lands lost in 1948 and to affirm their right of return and right to remain in their homeland. Seventy-eight years on, the Nakba (catastrophe, in Arabic) continues through military occupation, forced displacement, siege, bombardment, the destruction of Palestinian communities and apartheid across historic Palestine — enabled in large part by continued U.S. military and political support for Israel.

Israel’s continued war crimes and crimes against humanity are made possible only by a continuous supply of US weapons. UN bodies and international human rights organizations like Amnesty International have called for a full arms embargo on Israel for over two years. The failure of the United States to comply makes our country complicit in the ongoing atrocities.
