Oppose the anti-voter “SAVE” Act!

SEIU
Call and write or visit your members of Congress to strongly oppose H.R.22 — the voter suppression “SAVE” Act.

Using and promoting the lie that non-citizens vote, the "SAVE" Act requires anyone registering to vote to prove their citizenship with identification such as a passport or birth certificate. The ID would have to show their current name.

It threatens to eliminate the ability to vote from 21 million people who would not be able to provide the documents the SAVE Act mandates. Married women and trans people who have changed their names, as well as people of color and young, elderly, and low income people are less likely to have access to them. The Act would mandate regular voter purges.

It would also essentially eliminate online voter registration and registration by mail, undermining the ability to organize the vote. 18 million people used those ways to register in 2022.

This is an attack on the unity and political power of our diverse working class, and of the U.S. people as a whole. It is an attack on the very idea of voting as a basic democratic right.

We must defeat the anti-voter “SAVE” Act and uphold voting rights by passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act!
