The Trump administration’s plan to slash federal support for public education—while handing out tax breaks to billionaires—puts the futures of millions of students at risk. This includes stripping away college loan support, health care for those most in need, and services for children with disabilities. The message is clear—and unacceptable.

If these cuts move forward, we will see:

• The elimination of funding for low-income students in rural, suburban, and urban communities
• Denial of essential services for children with disabilities, violating their legal right to a free and appropriate education
• The dismantling of career and technical education programs
• Reduced access to Pell Grants, making college even less affordable

This is not what our children need or deserve.
