Pass Progressive Revenue

For decades, trickle-down economics have failed working families while wealth and corporate profits have soared. It is time to ask those who have gained the most from Washington’s infrastructure, labor force, and prosperity to give back for the common good.

Washington has the second most regressive tax system in the country—with the lowest-income residents paying a much higher percentage of their income in taxes than the wealthiest. FAN’s advocacy for progressive revenue bills like SB 5796, SB 5797, HB 2045, and HB 2046 reflects our faith-rooted belief in shared responsibility, equity, and justice. Additionally, legislators learned this year that Washington state is facing a projected 12-billion-dollar deficit over the next four years. To make up for this deficit they are considering slashing billions of dollars from the programs that are keeping people across Washington housed, fed, and healthy. These deep, harmful cuts will be inevitable unless they pass new progressive revenue this year.

Together, we can build a more just and resilient Washington. Join us in emailing your lawmakers and urge them to support new, progressive revenue instead of devastating cuts to services. Let us choose a path—one grounded in compassion, fairness, and our deepest shared values.
