The paraeducators supporting the most vulnerable students in our schools do not make a living wage (defined by MIT as $45,860 a year)! We do not make nearly enough to live in Hingham or the surrounding area. In fact, all paraeducators in Hingham currently make below the maximum salary to qualify for food stamps ($27,180 a year)!

We are bargaining with the School Committee, but we need your help to show them that the Hingham community supports its paraeducators and believes that all people working in our schools should be paid a living wage! Tell the school committee members why you believe Hingham paraeducators deserve a living wage!
