ALPR cameras are a mechanism that ICE has been using across the country to find our immigrant neighbors and it's time to hold Renton City Council accountable and tell them to permanently shut them down and cancel their contract with Flock. At the moment, the cameras are only temporarily shut down (or so they say) but we have no evidence to show that is currently the case. With your help (especially if you are a Renton resident), we need to use our voice (while we still have it) to let them know what we think and the more documentation we can collect to show that we have asked them to do this and the more of us that use our voice, the better chance we have to hold our City Council accountable and make them do the right thing.
