If approved by voters, Proposition 414 would raise sales tax in Tucson by half a cent, generating an estimated $800 million over the next 10 years to be invested in programs that make Tucson "Safe and Vibrant". The problem is, only 35% of that will go towards proven housing and social services solutions, the top two priorities identified in public feedback, and much more would go towards policing and surveillance.
