Pass the POWER Act to provide relief to Texans

Email the Texas House Committee on State Affairs to pass HB 3460, the POWER Act. The POWER Act would establish a disaster relief program to provide one-time cash payments of $1,000 to $2,500 per household to Texans most impacted by the storm.

Texas families are still struggling to make ends meet after Winter Storm Uri. While the roads were impassable and the power was out, businesses closed and Texans couldn’t work. Families that live paycheck to paycheck lost a whole week’s worth of income during the storm and had to spend through their savings to get by. Over one month later, families’ homes still need repairs and unpaid bills are starting to pile up. Texans need financial relief now!
