Email Public Comment to Salem-Keizer Public Schools

Thanks!

Thank you for supporting Latinos Unidos Siempre (LUS) and Center for Popular Democracy (CPD) in this movement for #PoliceFreeSchools.

Help Us Win!

We are so close to seeing #PoliceFreeSchools in the Salem-Kaizer School District! The Salem Police chief, with agreement from Superintendent Perry, placed a “pause” on assigning SRO this year. While this is a good start, we want the district to do the same in the 3 other law enforcement departments they work with.  We also want to make sure this becomes a permanent change. Can we count on you to ask the district to create a permanent #PoliceFreeSchools solution?

Public Comment

Public Comment is a short testimony people give in public meetings. It's a way for people to give their opinion about rules and policies the school board creates. The Salem-Keizer Public Schools allow people to submit comments or testimony by email, video recording or calling in on the day of the meeting.

The next school board meeting for Salem-Keizer is on Aug 11. We are asking all our supporters to submit a written testimony in support of #PoliceFreeSchools.
