San Francisco Board of Supervisors President Rafael Mandelman says he wants to preserve historic buildings in the city with his proposed ordinance which arbitrarily doubles the number of protected sites. But by unfairly removing Supervisor Bilal Mahmood from the Land Use Committee for introducing sensible amendments which would preserve housing capacity, Mandelman showed that his true objective is blocking desperately needed housing.

Tell the Land Use Committee, Supervisor Myrna Melgar, Supervisor Chyanne Chen, and Supervisor Matt Dorsey, to introduce those amendments so that San Francisco can meet the challenge of building for an abundant, affordable future.
