The Texas House Committee on Land and Resource Management will hold a hearing on HB 3798 this Thursday. This bill would override city ordinances that protect ashe juniper trees (aka mountain cedar).

The bill is based on outdated and inaccurate stereotypes about these trees. The truth is that Ashe Junipers have always been a part of our state’s landscape, and they do a lot more good than most Texans realize.
